WhatsApp Messaging Policy
Last updated: 27 June 2026
This page explains how WhatsApp notifications work on DriveSchoolPro, how pupils opt in, what they receive, and how to opt out. DriveSchoolPro is operated by LEAVE.REVIEW LTD (company number 05408918), registered in England and Wales.
WhatsApp reminders are rolling out. Until WhatsApp is enabled for your instructor, lesson reminders are sent by email.
Who sends and receives messages
Messages are sent by a pupil's own driving instructor through the DriveSchoolPro platform, to pupils who hold an account with that instructor. All messages are transactional and relate to the pupil's own driving lessons. DriveSchoolPro does not send marketing or promotional messages.
How you opt in
When a pupil adds their mobile number in DriveSchoolPro, they are shown a consent checkbox and must actively opt in before any WhatsApp message is sent. The wording the pupil sees is:
“I agree to receive WhatsApp notifications from DriveSchoolPro about my driving lessons (reminders, booking confirmations, cancellations, and payment receipts). Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See the Privacy Policy and Terms.”
Consent is never pre-ticked and is never a condition of using DriveSchoolPro. A pupil who does not opt in simply does not receive WhatsApp notifications — they can still receive lesson reminders by email.
What messages you'll receive
After opting in, a pupil may receive transactional messages about their own lessons, including:
- Lesson reminders
- Booking confirmations
- Reschedule and cancellation alerts
- Payment receipts
- Account notifications
Message frequency
Message frequency varies depending on the pupil's lesson schedule.
Opting out and getting help
Reply STOP at any time to opt out of WhatsApp notifications. Reply HELP for assistance. Pupils can also contact support@driveschoolpro.com for help, or manage their notification preferences from within their DriveSchoolPro account.
How we handle your data
Mobile numbers are used only to send the pupil transactional messages about their own lessons. We do not share, sell, or rent mobile numbers or messaging opt-in consent to any third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. WhatsApp messages are delivered via the WhatsApp Business Platform (Meta). For full details of how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
