It's a fair reason to stay. My Drive Time describes its help and support as award-winning, and DriveSchoolPro is newer, so we can't point to the same track record. If you'd like to try us alongside it, email info@driveschoolpro.com with any question and we'll answer it.

"Not listed" means we could not find the feature on My Drive Time's public website on 21 September 2026. It may exist. We use "Not listed" rather than "No" so we never say a competitor lacks something we haven't seen them say. If anything here is out of date, email info@driveschoolpro.com and we'll correct it.
Where DriveSchoolPro differs
My Drive Time's support is a strength we can't match on track record. These are the differences that exist today, from the table above.
- Progress tracking built on the DVSA frameworkDriveSchoolPro tracks the official 27 skills across 8 categories, and pupils see their own progress in their portal. My Drive Time's site describes a Syllabus Manager but doesn't say whether the DVSA structure is the default.
- Lesson prep written for youBefore each lesson, DriveSchoolPro writes a short briefing from your last notes and the pupil's skill ratings, using Claude. We couldn't find an equivalent on My Drive Time's site.
- Review requests at the right momentWhen a pupil passes, they appear on your Today screen with a Google review request ready to send. It is prompted, not automatic: you decide whether to send it.
- Clash checks and vehicle trackingBookings are checked against the pupil, the instructor and the vehicle together, and MOT, tax and insurance dates are tracked with alerts.
- Free while in early accessDriveSchoolPro has no subscription fee until 31 March 2027 and doesn't ask for a card. Pricing will be announced well before 1 April 2027, and nothing is charged automatically.
What DriveSchoolPro doesn't do yet
There's no theory content in DriveSchoolPro, and no way to broadcast a cancelled slot to your pupils, which My Drive Time lists as Diary Gaps. We don't offer free bulk migration of your records yet, and My Drive Time does. Pupils use a web portal rather than a native app, lesson reminders go out by email only today (WhatsApp is coming soon), and recording test bookings and results is coming soon. My Drive Time has also been around longer. If any of these decides it for you, that's a fair reason to stay where you are.

DriveSchoolPro vs My Drive Time — common questions
Its website describes a Syllabus Manager that shows how well each pupil is doing against all the skills, but it doesn't say whether the DVSA structure is the default. DriveSchoolPro tracks the official 27 skills in 8 categories, and pupils see their own progress in their portal.
Your data is yours. The account owner can download a copy of everything held for your organisation from Settings, then Profile: pupil records, lesson history, payments and skill records. It's a JSON file, so it's a complete record rather than a spreadsheet ready to import elsewhere. Login tokens and payment links are left out.
We've tried to make it one. The My Drive Time column only records what My Drive Time's own public website says, checked on 21 September 2026. Where we couldn't find a feature we say "Not listed", not "No". We don't quote My Drive Time's prices because they change, so use their own pricing page. The gaps in DriveSchoolPro are set out above. If you spot an error, email info@driveschoolpro.com and we'll correct it.
No. Keep your current diary running alongside DriveSchoolPro until you're confident everything's in. There's no big switch-over day, and it's free until 31 March 2027 with no card required.
